This collection is amazing! I am thankful for READ READ READ – a collection of poetry about books. My third grade students see themselves in these beautiful poems!
I love picture books. My class is keeping track of how many books we read aloud this year and tweeting to authors whenever we can!! Thanks for this opportunity!
I need to read directions more carefully! One picture book I am thankful for is Each Kindness because of the powerful message it delivers.
I’ve always loved Jon Scieszka’s “The True Story of the 3 Little Pigs,” so I’m definitely thankful for that PB!
This is a fantastic roundup of books, and what a prize! Thankful for the opportunity, and for finding out about some great new picture books to add to my #TBR list.
I’m thankful for all the talented Picture Book writers and illustrators that bring life, love, and literacy to children. Right now, I’m particularly grateful for BORIS AND BELLA.
Love picture books.
I’m thankful for so many picture books that it seems impossible to pick just one! But a new favorite is A Hat For Mrs. Goldman… such a sweet and lovely book. Thank you to Tracy and all the other authors for contributing to this fantastic giveaway!
I’m thankful for rhyming picture books, and those with humor (and both)!, because those are the ones that my children and I pick up again and again!

I am thankful that When We Were Alone was awarded the Governor General Literary Award. This book needs to be part of every school library collection.
It’s impossible to pick just one picture book favorite. One favorite is Dan, the Taxi Man by Eric Ode. The rhyming story is fun with a surprise ending, the illustrations by Kent Culotta add to the story, and the musical sounds are so much fun to read aloud and have children join in.

It’s hard to pick just one picture book! Right now, I’m loving Tara Lazar’s 7 ATE 9 because I love numbers and puns. She combing 2 of my favorite things into one punny tale!
An oldie but a goodie, Richard Scarry’s Goodnight Little Bear. I read it as a child and now my husband reenacts little bear hiding on his shoulders with our kids.
This prize pack is AMAZING, so excited!
Having trouble posting…all good books 🙂 Trying again
I am grateful for the authors who share their knowledge and wonderful picture books with us! I attended a presentation by Tara Lazar on picture book beginnings at the 2016 NESCBWI conference. It was so helpful.
This year I’m thankful for so many picture books, including old favorites read on repeat (my toddler is currently OBSESSED with Mike Mulligan and His Steam Shovel) and new favorites coming out everyday (The Case of the Stinky Stench was a blast).
I’m thankful for Into Your Dreams by Chae Strathie
I love Skippy John Jones because he is brave enough to live in his own reality. And I love anything like this that promotes gratitude in the month surrounding my favorite holiday, Thanksgiving. Thank you,
Congrats on the great year! I’m a huge fan of Jannie Ho (she did the amazing graphics for 2 of my games!)
This is wonderful with so many great books. My first picture book love was Lyle, Lyle Crocodile by Bernard Waber. Loved that cool croc.
It is hard to choose one book for which I’m grateful. I read Ida Always to my Kindergarten/First Grade combo class last school term. Several of the children cried during the reading. For a full month, while on the playground, they would look up and ask, “Ida, are you up there?” Or “Ida, can you see us?” They talked about this book til the end of school term. I’m so grateful how my students engaged, and responded to this well written story.
A wonderful year indeed with much to celebrate. Thank you to all the creative authors and illustrators for being those incredible ideas to life. Leg the celebrations begin 🎉👍👏
Nicely done November! I believe we hit the duck pond of picture books. This contest quacks me up! Nothing short of a Quackalicious celebration.

Oh, forgot to mention a picture book. I’m going to go way back and say I’m thankful for Chicken Soup With Rice. That book is my Rosebud!
I am thankful for so many picture books being out in the world!
I love the classic picture book, Dear Zoo. I never get tired of reading it and kiddos never get tired of listening and opening flaps to find out what the zoo sent.
One picture I’m grateful for is Are You My Mother? because it’s the one my mom read to me every night. I still have my copy.
Fantastic collection of books!
Great give a way and a great group of books! I am thankful for picture books.
I am thankful for all picture books but love Shampoodle By Joan Holub and any Tara Lazar books especially 7 ate 9. The DOT and ISH Both by Peter H. Reynolds are awesome. I am especially thankful for two wonderful new books coming in spring 2018 by Tara Cattie Luebbe and Becky Cattie: SHARK-NATE-O and I AM FAMOUS. So excited to read all of the books by this dynamic duo!
I’m thankful for Gyo Fujikawa’s board book “Babies.” The author/illustrator was among the earliest (1963) to show multiracial babies in traditionally published books. It was also the first book I read to my own baby. And it continues to remind me that it is never too early (to teach children) to celebrate the diversity around us!
Oh and among picture books, I’m thankful for “The Other Side” by Jacqueline Woodson who showed me how powerful stories can be told in the simplest of settings.
Amazing giveaway, so many gems.
Great selection, Tracy! The pb that helped me tremendously as a kid was The Little Engine that Could.
